Lists is aimed at making it easier for users to organize WhatsApp chats. You can create specific categories aka for different chats like personal, work, gym friends, and more. Here is how you can organize WhatsApp chats with custom lists.

Create Custom WhatsApp Chat Lists

  1. Launch WhatsApp on your device and swipe down to access existing Lists: All, Unread, Favorites, and Groups.
  2. Tap the “+” icon to create a new list.
  3. Enter a name for the list and choose contacts/groups that you want to add.
  4. Tap Done in the top right corner to create the list.

Your newly created custom list will now be accessible next to the existing lists that we mentioned in the first step. This is how you can create multiple custom chat lists with ease.

These custom chat lists can be edited, deleted, and reordered by simply tapping and holding on the name. You can also create and manage lists by visiting WhatsApp Settings > Lists.

Even though WhatsApp has begun rolling out the Lists feature quite a long time ago, not everyone has received it. You will have to wait for an update to enable the feature on your device if you have not received it yet.
